As a demonstration of how the lungs work, kids will learn about the atmospheric pressure inside and outside a vacuum chamber. In addition, participants of this activity will be able to make their own stress ball. A stress ball can aid in relieving stress and provide physical therapy, if needed. Decreasing stress and tension can help to improve the quality of an individuals life by promoting better sleep, decreasing the chances of illness and enhancing a general feeling of well being. Proper usage of the ball activates the muscles and releasing the grip allows the muscles to relax. The repeated pattern of such movements helps to make the tension and stress less severe.
